Hidden Prologues – a literary salon with a difference
Welcome back to Hidden Prologues, the monthly literary salon at Radisson Blu Edwardian's Bloomsbury Street Hotel.
Hosted by author and journalist Sam Leith, the Hidden Prologues literary salon opens again this year and welcomes guests to an intimate bi-monthly event that sees a series of leading authors discuss their latest works. The salon aims to do something different to most literary events: authors will be not only reading from their own work, but also discussing events and writers that have inspired them, before engaging in a friendly audience-led discussion around the emerging issues.
Rather than simply hear about their own books, by focusing on the way each writer engages with the past, we’ll be bringing readers closer to the core of how they work.
Held at the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Bloomsbury Street, a literary hangout throughout its history, the hotel offers the perfect intimate, laid back surroundings for you to discuss the questions you have always wanted to ask your favourite authors.
Hidden Prologues launched last year with Joanna Trollope, and continued with names such as Jenny Colgan, Nick Harkaway and Bryony Gordon.
At our recent Shakespeare Special event on Tuesday 19th April - celebrating the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death - Booker Prize Winner, Ben Okri said:
"What a charming event it was last night. Good audience, lovely ladies, excellent conversation with Sam and Kamila. Keep up with the Salon, it's a valuable contribution to London life."
Our next event will be announced soon....
There is no cost for entry but you will need to book your place, below. Your complimentary ticket includes entry to the salon, nuts, olives and a glass of wine. There is also the chance to buy the author’s latest book (with the option to get this signed)
