CATCH LONDON’S TOP DJs PERFORMING AT GUILDFORD’S NEWEST OPENING
MKB, the new bar and restaurant to open at the Radisson Edwardian Guildford hotel, is to host some of the UK’s leading DJs when it launches its DJ Residence Series MKB Nights on 10 December. Established names and up and coming talent have been secured to bring cool and classy sounds to the town’s chicest nightspot on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Guest DJs in the current season will include Dan Bewick, the multi-award winning DJ and multi-platinum selling recording artist. Dan’s 20 year career includes residencies for MOS, Luminar Leisure, Hed Kandi, Gate Crasher and private events for Audi and Universal Music. Also secured for the first series is Matt Klein, who has enjoyed national success with the “Going Dutch” brand and who holds residency at the Gate Crasher and Jay Partridge, known for his cool and classy sounds.
Kicking off on 10 December, the launch party for MKB Nights will play host to Harlequins Rugby Union. Currently top of the Aviva Premiership, Quins are riding high and made an impressive start in their first games of the Heineken Cup.
Designed by the internationally acclaimed Rabih Hage (Rough Luxe), MKB mixes a metropolitan vibe with an earthy soul. By day it’s a place to catch up and enjoy the simple pleasures of fresh ingredients and friendly service. By night, when the lights go down and music infuses the atmosphere, the bar comes to life with lip-quenching cocktails.
Bringing the best of the Mediterranean to Guildford, MKB’s menu offers bistro-style food perfect for sharing. Honest and delicious ingredients such as Chorizo sausage with Manchego and figs; salt and pepper squid; and crispy carrot and coriander fritters. It is also home to Guildford’s first Josper grill, the latest foodie trend, that seals in flavour like you’ve never experienced, from marinated sea trout to lamb chops and chargrilled free-range chicken. MKB is located at 3 Alexandra Terrace and is open daily from 10:00 until late. Advance reservations are recommended. A limited of table reservations are available for the launch night and Quins party
