£10 MILLION REFIT COMPLETES AT RADISSON BLU EDWARDIAN, HEATHROW WITH PLANS FOR A FURTHER MULTI MILLION POUND INVESTMENT

The Radisson Blu Edwardian, Heathrow has unveiled a £10 million refit that includes new high tech bedrooms, plus elegant restaurants and bars. At the same time the group has announced a further imminent multi million pound investment to upgrade the property’s 43 private meeting and conference rooms, with a team currently researching the very latest developments in technology. Already one of Europe’s largest conference centres with global accessibility, the hotel is set to become one of the most high tech and luxurious venues.

The enhancements have been made with the business traveller in mind. In excess of £25,000 has been spent on each of 350 Business Class and Deluxe bedrooms. Among the improvements are triple glazed windows, desk spaces featuring wireless and wired internet access, a conference telephone system and a docking station for iPhone and iPad.

With the best night’s sleep at the core of any leading hotel, it is unsurprising that a significant proportion of the investment was allocated to sleep augmentation and mattress development and, following the introduction of new beds, the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Heathrow claims a superior product benefiting all its guests.

The public areas of the hotel have also undergone a transformation with new restaurant and bar concepts. Oceanic (the name originally given to the new terminal 3 that greeted long-haul transatlantic flights) is inspired by 1920s Miami meets New York and serves the finest steak and seafood. The more intimate Bijou Bar brings a touch of West End glamour where premium Champagnes and cocktail can be enjoyed.

The design concepts were created by Radisson Blu Edwardian in house Head of Design, Michael Attenborough.
