Press | Guildford & G Live Partnership

Guildford’s two new destination venues for leisure and entertainment have announced a collaboration ahead of their respective launches in September. Radisson Edwardian Guildford, which officially opens on 29 September, will be an official partner of the new G Live venue, whose first event, scheduled for 22 September, has already sold out.

Radisson Edwardian already has a strong brand tie to the arts, not least through its partnerships with the London Film Festival and Donmar Warehouse. This regional initiative will enable G Live ticket holders to benefit from a 10% discount off the best available room rate at the new Radisson Edwardian Guildford, which will be communicated on every ticket. The proximity of the hotel to G Live will also enable visitors to experience the destination restaurant options from the Market Kitchen & Bar, offering all day dining and an East meets West culinary experience or the best of British at the smart yet contemporary Relish. The location of both Radisson Edwardian Guildford and G Live at the top of the town’s historic high street makes their partnership an obvious one. Situated adjacent to each other, the area is poised to become the hub of Guildford’s leisure and entertainment offering.

The stunning public interiors of the Radisson Edwardian Guildford, by renowned international designer Rabih Hage, reflect the themes of performance and personality, inspired by the vibes from G Live and by Guildford’s most famous literary son, Lewis Carroll. The hotel’s guests, by the very nature of their visit, become performing artists in this creative, theatrical environment.

Speaking about the collaboration, Sales Director Bill Edwards said, “We are committed to forging relationships with key partners in and around the area and with G Live as our neighbour this was an obvious collaboration. The interior design of the Radisson Edwardian Guildford pays homage to the theme of entertainment and we anticipate a long and fruitful relationship with G Live.”

Alvin Hargreaves, Director of G Live, added, “The two distinctive developments of G Live and Radisson Edwardian Guildford place the town firmly on the UK map as a high quality entertainment and conferencing destination. We are delighted to announce the partnership which we believe will cement Guildford as a new and very credible hub for performance, conferencing and leisure.”
