Half Term is in sight and with the Siberian cold weather this February, here’s a few ideas to keep your little ones entertained without freezing to death!
1. Head down to the Covent Garden Piazza and take the kids to the London Transport Museum
For children, the London Transport Museum has an under-fives play area decorated with Steven Appleby illustrations and the chance to sit in the driver’s cab of a red bus and guide a Northern Line simulator through tunnels and up to platforms – This sounds fun for adults, too!
Don’t forget after a long day of driving buses and trains, a stupendous afternoon tea is the perfect way to recharge their batteries at the Dial bar. We are serving our delightful Stupendous Afternoon Tea, check out the details here >
2. Holland Park and the Ecology Centre – near our Vanderbilt hotel

3. Museum of London Docklands by the New Providence Wharf hotel
With Various activities going on your kids have plenty to choose from including a Victorian playground, entering a Victorian photograph or see some spectacular optical illusions and learn their own magic tricks. On Friday 17th February they can hear the story of spring-heeled Jack that gripped the whole of Victorian London. And once the day is over you can come back and relax in our Azura Restaurant where we have a delicious menu designed especially for kids!
If your looking to keep warm in Guildford this Half Term, Guildford’s newest dining destination, Relish looks back to our own culinary traditions and celebrates all that’s best about Britain – and no time more so than Sundays.
